Many manufacturers have adopted a Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policy. The purpose of this policy is to ensure the quality of a manufacturer’s item. If you see an item advertised for less than the MAP, then they are not following the guidelines of the manufacturer. There are various penalties that may be enforced because of this. An example is that your item may not be covered by the manufacturers warranty.
